Owner Education Overview

This section is meant to provide you with species-specific information related to vital statistics, husbandry, common ailments, and routine health care. The values given for temperature, pulse and respiration represent a normal range for each species. There are conditions that will cause these numbers to be outside the normal range. These conditions can indicate a disease process within an animal, or a physiologic adaptation to exercise, excitement, heat, etc. Learning the “normal” values for your animal will help you know when a physical problem arises.
